Never even popped up for me.Jpup wrote:+1 Reg
The gold edition arrived post haste. I've picked up a few Sperrys by now and one thing that captivates me about his work is the usage of beautiful, background patterns that activate a continuum between flatness and depth, serving to push and pull his figures between a fuller dimensionality and flattened abstract fields. A subtle tension plays out as the subject either recedes into or emerges from these decorative and geometric planes.
Also of note in the Decemberists is the wonderful use of color. The chrome yellow is a great contrast to the gold and blue greens. And it's difficult to tell in a photo but the blue-green background is split fountain, shifting from blue-green at the top to green at the bottom, creating a very subtle and lovely effect.

Reg enroute as well, I'm sure of equal merit with the variants. Will need to see that blotter framed. Happy Thanksgiving!Jpup wrote:Nice score Tim.... print looks great... landed a Reg myself... looking to upgrade to a Silver if I can find one...
