Rare gems, rose
I always defer to someone who's wearing a beater, regardless of what else he's wearing.

With this latest acquisition, I completed a set of psychedelic Jim Franklin handbills from early Armadillo World Headquarters shows.

I saw this weird Armadillo shelf on eBay and had to buy it as a centerpiece for an AWHQ wall. I plan to frame them all in this configuration with an ornate gold frame for the AWHQ opening night handbill and the same, simple frame for each of the others.

Cute, aint it? :D

Shelf really ties the collection together Vulture; nice find! Thinking a taxidermy armadillo perched on top is going to round it all out.

Thanks! The woman of the house says no taxidermy but we'll see...

haha I agree. The armadillo is questionable but that's what the eBay listing said and it would be my best guess as well. It's clearly been broken and repaired if you look at the back. My guess is that there was some other kind of figure there and whoever repaired it back in the day carved the "armadillo" and put it there when the repairs were made. The wood of the dillo doesn't quite match the rest of the shelf. A real conversation piece!

She never said no to that so I may get her on the technicality....
