Live Long and Poster

General art-related discussion.

Tracie Ching has a new Star Trek themed Kickstarter project called "Live Long and Poster." :) You may remember her last project was the Star Wars themed "The Admiral", which was not only funded entirely, all tiers of backing sold out!

From 411posters: "Trace Ching is currently holding a Kickstarter project to fund her latest prints, “Live Long” & “Boldly Go”. They are each 16″ x 20″ 6-color Screenprints, signed/numbered edition of 100 each, and for a pledge of $45, you get one of the prints of your choice or for a pledge of $80 you get both prints."

You can also pledge $5 to get 2 4x5 vinyl weather-resistant stickers, one for each image. Pledging increments of $5 will get you that many multiple sets of stickers.

If the print backing tiers sell out, all print backers get a bonus print. If ALL backing tiers sell out, all print backers get a second bonus print! So get on it!

That looks like a "cease and desist" waiting to happen.

She didn't get one from the Star Wars project, and I think Lucas is a hell of a lot more territorial than Paramount. But who knows.

I bought her Cherry Blossom print as a gift for Mother's Day. Tell me what mother would not like this?

True enough -- until the date when the campaign ends. If the project has reached its goal by that date, then and only then are the backers' credit cards charged. Either you don't pay at all (because the project wasn't funded), or you pay what you said you would and you get what you were promised. Having backed The Admiral project, I can attest to the trustworthiness of Tracie and her previous project.
