I cant say for sure. Im not the original owner, i lucked into it yesterday. Was framed using acid free materials in 2008 according to the back of the frame.

I believe it's actually a standard practice of framers. They will weigh mat's, only 10mm or so, without the customer even knowing sometimes.

Have had some framers ask if I want things weighted. Others have just done it automatically.

I find it kinda funny that the Lancaster Museum of Art and History has become such a big partner for Thinkspace (unless the owner of Thinkspace also owns the museum). Lancaster is a fudge hole.
