Quick Tip: Avoid eBay Seller "orntelove"

Picked up the Total Recall they recently had listed. Description confirmed it was mint, as did the seller when communication was made.

Just a friendly warning as some of you may be interested in the Stout Inglorious Bastards or any other Stouts that may become available. Below is just some of the damage that arrived with my Total Recall. Nicks, creases, blunt corners, even a stain. Properly packed and tube was intact.

If this is the inappropriate area to post this; feel free to delete. Cheers.

I'm so sorry I told you about that listing. Had no idea who the seller was, but knew you wanted that Total Recall. Are they at least open to hearing your concerns regarding the print? Might be worth getting a bit refunded and then sending it off to Poster Mountain.

Yeah, it was previously framed. Both wife and husband "collector" inpected after un-framing and guaranteed it was indeed mint. Not looking for partial refund but rather a whole refund, do not want this. How does that work with Paypal anyhow? Usually they don't cover damage, but I heard when it's through an eBay auction it's different?

File an SNAD (Significantly Not As Described) case through eBay.

You may have some complications though. Was it listed as mint in the auction or was that only conversed through messages? I presume there were not detailed pictures either?

Framed picture which hides any damage. It was indeed listed as Mint in the auction description as well. And thanks for the help :)

Yea, just file a SNAD then. State it is not in mint condition, as listed and that you would like a full refund. It's been a while since I've dealt with the one and can't recall if they allow you to upload photos. If not, if you have a Photobucket or similar account, upload the photos there and link them in the case.

Jeez, some of you are sooooo fussy. A tiny bit of cum on a print and suddenly it's no longer mint.

Did he state in the listing he'd sexed it?

I'd suggest your Stout Total Recall is not a virgin sir.

whereas i wouldn't consider it mint, i don't see whats so bad about this poster? is that one picture a tiny edge tear or is it lint sitting on it? the corners aren't perfectly sharp but not that rounded either, is there a minor roll bend near the bottom? and is there some slight fading from being framed? nothing looks beyond minor. whenever you buy a print that was previously framed, expect that minor fade line. chances are the seller put the roll bends in when he shipped it to you so those may have not been there when he was evaluating, still a rookie job if you don't know how to safely roll a print in kraft paper. i wouldn't list a print like this in mint or excellent condition, but i have a hard time calling it "average" instead of "good"

my opinion is it's paper, if you framed this one vs framing a mint one, you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference in a blind pick.

I think the main issue is that it was advertised as being mint, and it wasn't. Especially since Kyle even inquired about it outside the auction and was assured it was in prestine condition. Though you may look at it and say "That'll frame out." if you shell out 300-400+ on a print advertised as mint, you would expect it to arrive mint.

Even if you're going to slap it into a frame immediately, you'll always know there's some splooge and dents hiding, waiting, watching..

Unless you are buying a flat never rolled new poster from a stack off a table in person, i would never trust anyone who called a print mint, yet alone one that's been framed previously. When buying very expensive prints i've asked for pictures of the edges/corners and back of the print (to see roll bends). these are typically more telling than someone saying "excellent" or "mint"

if that is indeed a tear on edge i think it would be fair to ask for a partial refund, and if the roll bends are visible from the front of the poster.
