Tomorrow night!

Spoke Art and the Castro Theatre will once again be joining forces, this time around to present a Wes Anderson double feature of The Royal Tenenbaums and Life Aquatic. One ticket gets you into both screenings, both projected in glorious 35mm format in the historic Castro.

For this fun return to our Bad Dads theme, Spoke Art has enlisted the work of Sam Smith to create two new prints, with two variants and a complimentary lobby card just for attendees. Get a look below, more pics on Sam's site - http://cargocollective.com/samsmyth

Nice! Always great seeing the both of you! Peter will be at the Spoke table for the first two screenings, I'll be at the second two, so see ya then! I'll be sure to keep a couple extra lobby cards for ya as well!

The variant Tenenbaums and regular Zissou make a striking pair. Went by early to get them; they're individually packed in plastic sleeves with heavy white cardstock backs. Digging this series, keep it up!

Just read through this thread. I don't want to de-rail it, just wanna say that it reminds me of a local venue called The Louisville Palace in many ways. Unfortunately the Palace is now owned by LiveNation and has very few movie screenings any more. They used to play all the Universal Horror films each October, but didn't even do that last year. Sad, but there's much more money to be made from high priced concerts. Wish they did more stuff like the Castro.

Pics absolutely do not do it justice. Makes you feel like you're seeing a movie during the Golden Age. Stunning inside. The last movie that I saw there was The Creature From The Black Lagoon a couple years ago. Great experience.
