hey all, short answers because its late.
1. RE: OFFSET... you cant hear anyone laugh because there was no room mic, i only had a LAV mic on which really only picked up me. im aware its really really awkward sounding. in truth, it was a pretty quiet audience, and i got really nervous, but after i got off stage lots and lots and lots of people came up to me and said how much they enjoyed it and such, so i felt alot better.
2. that edition of 150 is for Rise & Daytrader and was made small and cheap to be included in that preorder package. my plan has been to release a larger (15x30" or 18x36" or maybe way more panoramic) slightly-fancier version of it through TME with some of the art changed and it overall expanded. currently the graffiti on the bridge contains alot of subtle references to the band, and that makes perfect sense for their version, for mine id want it to be 100% me. that should happen very very soon. i did their last record too, never made any kind of prints of that cover.
heres a nice big version to look at. this was stripped down a tiiiiny bit for the Rise print. either way, one of my favorite things ive done in some time printwise.
3. i know im behind on a pile of emails, work has been crazy crazy crazy over here and well... im bad with emails.
ok, gonna head home and try and get some sleep.
xo

hey, if anyone bought that Mega bundle to the the poster, the label went an made a slightly cheaper bundle that includes the record and print for 50. you just have to cancel your order and re order the cheaper bundle.
i all most canceled and just went with the record with the plan on getting the other version from DD but I like the band and like the references.

"official poster for At The Drive In reunion in El Paso, TX. april 13th, 2012
15x30” 5-color screen print
this is based off the infamous “classroom show” bootleg of the band from the late 90s, which until the era of youtube, was only available through dubbed VHS tapes purchased by sending actual cash in an envelope to a weird dude on the internet whos name was like PuNkGuYVHS69@aol.com along with a list of which bootlegs you wanted dubbed to your tape (ALL THE SWING KIDS AND CHARLES BRONSON BOOTLEGS, THANK YOU). paypal saw there was some money to be made from this, so then they started up and squashed decades of mailorder tradition. anyways, nowadays i can just link you to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMFYNuHHblI
this was one of those projects id like to hop back 12 years and tell myself about; my first month of college getting in a car with a near stranger to drive to buffalo NY to see At The Drive In play with the Murder City Devils, Bluetip, and the International Noise Conspiracy (which sure, were no Refused, but what was?*), not fully realizing what i was in for that night. huge thanks to cedric and the rest of band for making this happen.
(* and i get to see Refused in NYC in like 2 weeks …weird times we live in)
