STOUT "LOST" Destroyed, Seller Refuses Refund
Hi all... this thread isn't about pointing fingers or burning anyone...its more about getting some advice for my huge loss.
I recently purchased my #1 ISO off EB.. Tyler Stout's LOST. The seller is a well known member and i felt like i could trust him. So i gifted him the payment and he mailed the tube out. When i received it a couple days ago it was damaged beyond belief by the USPS. It was packaged in a 3 inch ULINE tube which has extremely thin lining. He said it was a tube he got recently from mondo, which every single print i got from mondo came in a thick Yazoo tube. So it was easily damaged. The seller did not insure it either.
Now...I tried reaching out to the seller to come up with some sort of plan. He flat out refused a refund, and pretty much said it was my problem, not his. He said theres nothing he can or will do and I'm stuck with it. I sent a few PM's to explain that its up to the seller and shipper to make sure the print is secured enough so it won't be damaged in transit. He's pretty much saying I'm fudge out of luck and its my problem. I Paid for a MINT Tyler Stout LOST and what i received was anything but that. what should i do? Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated.

Name some names here, this sounds like someone that I would never want to have a transaction with.

uline tubes are the only ones I throw out (recycle), for exactly this reason.

That sucks, but NEVER pay as a gift. Toss 5% extra on top of it if they request a gift.Gkohler wrote: It was packaged in a 3 inch ULINE tube which has extremely thin lining. He said it was a tube he got recently from mondo, which every single print i got from mondo came in a thick Yazoo tube.
Also, while it's true that mondo gives out ULINE tubes at MMM and other type events, they're always 4-inch.

I missed that on the first read, but yeah, buyers - don't pay as gift; sellers - learn how to ship (tubes to use and way to pack) and always track and insure.ironjaiden wrote:tehhippy wrote:No excuse for sending a payment as a gift.

Yeah, paypal gifts are bad news. But name this idiot so none of us are as unfortunate as to have a transaction with them.
