'Morning mists' - Southend Sea front inspired speed painting - based on my early morning runs at the sea front, ghostly glowing orbs disappearing into the mists, eerie and lonely seascapes....the sound of invisible waves lapping the shore in the darkness, like a dream.....

'Underground' - One of my new trackside paintings from my upcoming 'Trackside' book! I am constantly fascinated with these dark, subterranean scenes, this one was based on my photographs from Paris, a trip there some years back.

'Underpass' - Southend-On-Sea / Essex - Nice to be painting so locally for a change and a nice sized wall for a day's mural action by the sea side! Great wall, with lots of very friendly people to chat too as i painted, great day! - freehand spray paint 8ft x 36ft

'New Life' - Today's speed painting is a sunset over railways..based on my journey's out of London. I wanted to capture, in this relatively simple scene, the sense of the sun about to just disappear behind the buildings, that fleeting moment, as the sun is about to go, and colours of the day fading to muted night shades...I love breaking apart light, picking it to pieces and then rebuilding it with my brush, building it up in layers, the intensity growing, to finally finish the painting, as it radiates and glows, almost causing me to squint! This is a favourite of mine of late, simple, and effective

'The Dream' - Belfast / Northern Ireland as part of 'Hit The North - street art festival' - So pleased to finally reveal my latest mural, this time in Belfast, great to be back for my second year painting for HTN, at the crazy Culture Night city festival! Every mural I do is a challenge, and this was particularly challenging. In total, it was around 11 hours from start to finish, all freehand, all by eye. Painting under pressure I think fuelled me to complete this quickly! It really captures the mood and feeling that I wanted to put across, something different from my rain soaked Tokyo cityscapes. A sense of stillness, beauty, calm and dreaming, the geisha emerging rom the darkness with one solitary spotlight. Waiting to unfurl, like a butterfly as the light warms her, she smiles and holds the folds of her glistering kimono closer to her
