Last time I checked inventory it was like 3200, but who knows.
I'd say they're more concerned about fulfillment than with printing enough. Guessing in like two months it'll go back up for sale as a clearly stated open edition at a slightly higher price. Or maybe not! Should've bought more than one either way.
