pulled the trigger on lady and seven. ive been wanting to get a fancy gold print from them for a while but keep missing out, also could not pass on a Kurosawa. it is hard to get excited about buying something when you are as broke as I am....
Normally go for David's stuff, but money tight so just going for Lady From S, Good Bad Ugly and La Dolce Vita. Nice prints but I'm sure they gonna look much better than the jpgs, which are all a bit dark.
I have the red and green Metropolis prints. Pictures simply do not do these prints justice. They are killer in person!
Trying to resist getting both La Dolce and Shanghai - funds are tight.
Posters, Posters! Get them while their hot! 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 deals!
I've been waiting for DO'D to release some new stuff since I got his Dark Knight and was really impressed. I thought I was on their email list but I didn't receive anything. You can get a good idea of what he may be working on be looking at the Castro screening schedule.
Maybe I'll try to influence their screeings these next three months ...

Thick rick oil based inks that will not scuff. You can almost feel the textures in the inks. He learned to print with the Firehouse gang
Davids been around behind the scene for a long time . He has an encyclopediac knowledge of posters and their history and knows where the bodies are buried too.

I also agree these posters are beautiful in person and they frame up beautifully... rich thick inks on shiny paper. Plus you have some more affordable options with 18 x 24 size.
Not as gorgeous as Rubberneck's Metropolis , but this is how I framed up my Dark Knight.
