when are we supposed to hear back? the day before the tix go onsale? haven't been to a show in a long time...gonna hit at least 1 of the wrigley shows this time.

Lottery closes on 2/12; I think they said probably 8-10 hours (or more) later all notices should be out.

Their email update said up to 16 hours because of all the orders they have to process but definitely before the Verified Fan presale begins. Too bad 10C can’t invest in software that can easily pick X winners and charge their cards immediately and be done with it in minutes.

Ticket prices for all shows are getting ridiculous. It's like bands are trying to make up for lost album sales on touring and merch alone.

Devils advocate - they could also charge much, much more. $125 (fees included) for the top tier ticket for a “legacy” rock band is actually on the cheaper side of things if you compare them to others.

Touring is how bands make money now. The days of million dollar record deals is long over. Most venues take 30-50% of the merch sales. I know not everyone can afford $100+ per ticket but I also understand where these bands are coming from.

I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m sure their merch cut is around 40% too. People see high prices and think bands are greedy but have no idea how many hands go in that cookie jar before the band sees any money.

Devils advocate - they could also charge much, much more. $125 (fees included) for the top tier ticket for a “legacy” rock band is actually on the cheaper side of things if you compare them to others.

Hell.... look at Bruce and Phish. I can go see them for under $100 all in. I'm not complaining because you look at major pop acts and newer bands that run you well over this price, but it just seems odd from their last batch of shows to go from like $85 for an indoor venue to $125 for a ballpark.

I don't really buy any of their merch minus the poster if it's nice, so it's all good.

Springsteen at TD Bank/The Garden last year cost me $140 a ticket. Boston prices are crazy for shows.

Ticket pricing is odd. I feel like the more pop sound / mainstream (not sure what word to use there..) the more expensive.

For instance a pair of Justin Timberlake tickets were just $275 a seat lower bowl in DC

Yeah same with people like Bruno Mars and those types. Not knocking them or their music at all.... JT and Bruno are two crazy talented performers, they can and should charge whatever the hell they want. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing either of them live but I wouldn’t see any band for $250, lol. Unless it was a special small venue or insane seats for one of my favorites. I go to too many shows to keep dropping that, ha.
