You should know better than that by now: I am not that melty and definitely not over a sweet sweet EMEK. It's a very very sweet EMEK though and I will have to wait and see if it is even sweeter in person. Did you cop?
Luls. So that's a yes. Nope, no way in hell I was waking up that early every morning until it happened plus I ain't a #pjtrufanclub member.

Ames Bros. are going to start selling their 2XL Pearl Jam posters starting on December 8th. These are the posters they sold in Seattle when Pearl Jam played there in August. Looks like they will be releasing a different poster each day from December 8th to the 21st.

What the heck would someone do with a 5' gigposter? Also, I'm sure they are probably charging like $500 or something crazy for them.Bluecow wrote:Ames Bros. are going to start selling their 2XL Pearl Jam posters starting on December 8th. I might pay $500 for the Donkey Kong/MSG '10 poster even at that ridiculous size . . . that poster's selling at like 1500 now or more I think?
But framing and finding wall space would be a pain in the ass for sure.

Yeah exactly... I have no idea what I would even do with something that big. I can't imagine how much museum glass would be for that. Has to be around $500, ha.hunterjax wrote:I might pay $500 for the Donkey Kong/MSG '10 poster even at that ridiculous size . . . that poster's selling at like 1500 now or more I think?

I bought the 2XL Kong print in Seattle in August. It was $500. Prices varied for each print. I just finally got some foamboard big enough to flatten it (I kept it out of the tube though). I had to buy it from my framer because it takes freight shipping to ship foamboard that big. The biggest annoyance is that the print is 60x40.5 (each print is 60” tall, but width will vary) and one standard foamboard size is 60x40. So the print hangs over the edge 0.5 inches.
Framing will basically require acrylic instead of glass for this size. For archival framing with quality acrylic, I would expect it to cost around $2k to frame it. I doubt I’ll ever frame it, but who knows. I just think it’s awesome to own a piece like this and I’ve always loved that Kong poster.
