Their first two albums were so excellent, it makes things tough.
As a pair they are perfect imho.
When I read all the praise for Disintegration, just write it off as youngsters who missed the boat and caught the radio hits.
Bloodflowers really is strong.
I wasn’t early by any stretch… I missed the boat a little, got The Top when it came out then filled all that I had missed.
Head On The Door is wonderful… when that came out I was primed and blown the ef away.
Wish I would have seen them back then, but when you’re there, you definitely aren’t thinking I missed them in their prime or anything like that. They really play. Hard, Loud, Soft, Long songs…. So professional. Yup. One of the legit live bands from that period.
On the other hand, I saw The Cult play a few times in the last 13 months.
Last year they played 65 minutes.
No opener.
drymounting pathetic… I don’t know how they can get away with that crap.
