My status hadn't been updated until all of a sudden it said it was in Dallas this morning and then delivered by noon. Gotta love USPS.
Added delivery instructions which repeated "DO NOT BEND"..
Came home to find the cardboard mailer semi bent and shoved into a standard sized mailbox.
Luckily no damage.

When did they move to the new (much thinner) mailer? Was surprised mine did not come in damaged.Mjohnson541991 wrote:My status hadn't been updated until all of a sudden it said it was in Dallas this morning and then delivered by noon. Gotta love USPS.

Mine came damaged, those mailers are useless. Paragon right on it with a return label but it's annoying that they are even trying at all to cut corners and go cheapo on us like that. And the Trump one came gorilla gripped in a crappy tube, luckily flattened out ok. Just drymounting do it right and pack flat in-between cardboard in a sturdy mailer, I'll pay the extra $5 for chrissake.

It's probably cheaper for them to replace any damaged prints than to put the time and materials into packing every single print more carefully. Cost/benefit analysis and all.

That would be nice but I doubt it. Probably just a stack somewhere that has been overlooked. I'll keep my fingers crossed though.applehead wrote:You probably got a variant.IndyDMBFan wrote:Still waiting on my package to leave CA......
I was surprised there were no super-mini prints included with the Muzums print, but there was a sticker. I was digging those super-mini's.

Mine didn't move out of CA until yesterday. Then it arrived in Utah and was delivered today.GoBluePanic wrote:That would be nice but I doubt it. Variants make up more than 1-2% of the total number of prints generally. Especially when the reguar run is around 350 and there are 4-5 variants with editions ranging from 10-30 or so each.

Ya I'd say the odds of a variant should be around 10%. There's about 50-80 variant prints for Muzums I believe. 30 gold, then 12 nude, 12 charcoal, and not sure on the rest. Assuming Marq doesn't send out all the variant, your odds should be about 10% on Muzums. I'm 0 for 15 with variants.
EDIT: Looks like there's 44 Ivory, 30 gold, and 12 red, nude, and charcoal. So 113 variant prints total. On a run of 370. Obviously Marq isn't sending all those out, but I'd say the odds on getting a variant from this drop is at most 1/6, maybe more like 1/5. Obviously a lot of variants went to gnome 11 for charity stuff, and then some held back for future art shows.

Don't forget to subtract the dozen or so resellers that get variants each drop.
I would be surprised if more than half the variants go out in drops these days between Spustagnome auctions and keeping some back for shows. In the IG post with the stack of Muzums there appeared to be 7 in the stack of around 100.
