First, I used to think I was somewhat geeky in my enthusiasm for movies ... then I came to this site and learned what next-level movie nerding is all about. It is a bit intimidating to admit which "classic" movies I haven't seen and I'm most likely much older than poor Billy. Then again, I've gotten many good recommendations from this site ... as well as plenty of 80's nostalgia crap that doesn't hold up at all but were plenty of fun back in the day. At the end of the day, I salute you guys & girls.

Second, I am not a fan of the new WoK at all, but that's okay ... very happy with the one on my wall.

Lastly, Prometheus moratorium ... let's make this happen! At least until the IJ poster is revealed.

Not really feeling this wok poster. It's ok but underwhelming.

All in favor say "Aye"?

Aye.

(Side Note: That aye'd, I don't know that you want a complete moratorium, do you? After all, I can tell you in about, oh...48 hours if this one's worthy of the hype. Surely you'd want to know whether expectations should be curbed...or allowed to run wild? I would...but I always opt for a non-specific head's up, especially if it's something that I'm dying to see)

I guess I'm one of the few that doesn't like the new WoK. Doesn't work for me at all...

Just me ... but I want to go in as pure n' naive as possible, probably mission impossible. I really don't mind the banter for most movies, but this one is different. I'll probably just go hide in my basement until its time. Once I've consumated the act, I'll join the rest of you fools in the spoilers thread.

Frenchie's opinion doesn't faze me at all though. All due respect ...

(Scott - nice job on the new column btw)

Even if I do end up buying this awesomely rad 80s-riffic TWoK print, it won't take precedence over Ansin's Space Seed or Stout's TWoK prints. It's just that I'm a sucker for just about anything TWoK-related. :P

I hear ya, and will do my best to be respectful of your ongoing quest for purity. Perhaps when the time comes I'll answer specific questions via PM if someone really wants to know something? I don't really wanna talk plot, though. What interests me is, "Is this movie as good as everything we've seen thus far would lead us to believe?" That's the million dollar question. I'm honestly more pumped for PROMETHEUS right now than I am for DJANGO UNCHAINED and THE DARK KNIGHT FONDLES.

Those PROMETHEUS trailers are just...I mean, they have impressed me every time I've seen 'em. Every time. God I hope it's good.

And thanks for the kind words re: the column! The feedback we've been getting today has been strong, and it's apparently done very well for the site, traffic-wise. Sooner or later I'll start asking aroundto find out what the masses would like to see in that kind of a column (besides "Greasy photos of giant wangs", which we're already working on for #2).
