So, are the 10 Iron Giant AP's the last of them, or does Mondo still have a few left?
i must admit i've never seen an animated 3D movie and the thought of TNBC in 3D is actually a bit interesting.golobulus wrote:Wow! I was excited about Dragonslayer and thought I'd missed out, but was able to score it after the tweet. This morning's drop was nice... oh, and I 3D! Did anyone catch the 3D rerelease of The Nightmare Before Christmas? Probably the best 3D I've seen. It added a lot to the movie imho.

They should. Even if they weren't $350 + shipping? And why did he only get 10APs when the edition size is 425?vitaminwateryum wrote:So, are the 10 Iron Giant AP's the last of them, or does Mondo still have a few left?

only one i've seen was UP. Wasn't too distracting but could easily have done without it.
“Encapsulate the spirit of melancholy. Easy. Boom, a sad desk. Boom, sad wall. It’s art. Anything is anything.”
i could see that being the case with UP. although i think the stylistic animation used in Nightmare would really lend itself to 3D.Jon1701 wrote:qtully wrote:i must admit i've never seen an animated 3D movie and the thought of TNBC in 3D is actually a bit interesting.golobulus wrote:Wow! That and it's unique to Dragonslayer. If you're into the film, you recognize the creature as Vermithrax and not some generic dragon. If you're not into the film then it's like listening to a Coltrane record and a Sonny Rollins record and saying they're both just some generic saxophone stuff.RomanMorales wrote:Not even close. This thing is beautiful in person. The colors are beautifully dark and rich.someasiandude wrote:The Dragonslayer poster looks like a generic dragon poster that you can buy in the poster rack at Wal-mart or Spencers.
JC goes into some detail about creating the poster on the Mondo blog that that's worth checking out even if you haven't seen the movie (if anything just to understand how pioneering it was in the field of special effects):

So bummed I missed the Dragonslayer, walked away for a minute, came back, and it's sold out. DOH
