I have a slightly damaged pod racer that has a couple corners that are bent, and just yesterday i found the same numbered one on ebay. I contacted the person, and they said they got theirs at the show also. I also heard months ago alot of these got damaged somehow!

Does anyone have an explantion for this?

did the ebay seller confirm that it was the SAME number, not an error? And did you tell him that you HAD that number in your hands?

sounds like a mistake at dry goods, but who knows?

I'm betting on the seller reading the number wrong.

I'm really hoping that's the case. Just for other collectors though - I got rid of my Pod a long time ago...
