Cheers mate! hopefully get some more colour pieces on the go in the not too distant future, so keep a check on my store
Another of the tonal portraits here, like the self portrait I've used a paint roller to add the highlights, it's a great tool to work with and creates some really nice textures.

Back working with colour again. Really working into the face with the abstract marks and textures.
Be good to hear any thoughts.
Cheers,
Danny

I love that most recent one Danny, especially the way the eye is framed by the lines. Great work.

Japanese Ibis. Birds and wings have become something of a recurring theme in a fair bit of my work. Obviously they're aesthetically beautiful and graceful but I like the symbolic meaning of them too. To me they're a positive symbol of life, freedom and aspiration. I was asked to paint a piece with a Japanese theme so thought a Japanese bird would do the trick
I tried to use the abstract lines to create a sense of dynamic movement. What dya think?

Danny, I just purchased one of your portrait study paintings.

Absolutely captivating - I can't wait to see it in person!

Thanks for the comments and purchases, much appreciated

All recent purchases were shipped out yesterday so should take a week or so to reach the US from here in sunny England
Another piece to add to the list, hope I'm not boring anyone with this thread.
