I don't know why Hollywood doesn't tap guys like him and Stout to do more movie posters for current movies. I want to see a Martin Ansin Iron Man 2 poster at my local theater this summer!

I bet we'll see it in the near future. When Universal gave permission to Mondo and DD to do a poster for a current movie release(Wolfman), I think it opened up a lot possibilities.

Hollywood marketing machines seem way too occupied with only showing the faces of the stars, like we're too stupid to know who Brad Pitt or Jennifer Aniston are. The only classic movie posters I've seen in theaters in the past few years were for the Star Wars and Indy pictures. It almost seems like it's a dying art, so I'm glad we have Ansin, Stout, Kleinsmith and others around to fill the gap!

I like this one because I like the movie a lot: The Night Porter. It's available as an Open Edition print at http://www.inprnt.com/profile/martinansin/gallery. The THX-1138 print is available here as well

Martin Ansins work of late has really impressed me. I'm trying to only purchase his prints, for those movies which I like( Moon, Bride, Space Seed..and want Metropolis!). However, I have ordered the El Topo print (never saw the film) as I really liked the imagery on the print.

Anyway I bit the bullet and ordered the THX 1138 print (24x36) via his website as I'm a huge fan of the film and will definitely frame this at some point. I haven't seen any pictures of this print (a giclee) so I'm curious as to how this will look. Has anyone bought prints from this site?

Yea Martin is amazing, been thinking about grabbing the Takeshi giclee. Still hoping he does a Hunchback poster or some Poe stuff at some point.

I'm about the bite on the THX too, it's amazing and even after all these years I want that car!!! I missed Taming Light on the first pass - that needs to be offered as a print as well.

Thanks for the heads up on this site.
