Had to dig my Moon print out for pics so figured might as well kill two birds.

Should have bought a flat file. No you can't stay in the spare bedroom, my collection sleeps there, it likes to spread out. :x

I'm quoting this because I was back-reading tonight, and I can't stop laughing. That totally looks like a beige dong with a cute little pink head.

No dong I'm afraid, get your mind out of the gutter!

Thanks for the compliments, guys. I'm very happy to have it all put together.

emac wrote:Also, congrats on getting the top, Billy! I was THIS CLOSE to seeing it all put together in person, apparently. ;)

Thanks! I know. I didn't know I was getting the top back yesterday. I got a call around 8 that it was done drying so I got it then. :D

If you do not mind sharing, where and how much did it cost to get the sanding and painting done? (Beside the custom rockbridge top ... sweet work, BTW.)

Cost was probably around $60-80. I did it all myself. (Except the sealing, which my dad did.) Luckily, my parents were kind enough to let me keep the file in their garage and work on it during weekends.

The base, I had to sand down, primer and paint. The paint was the biggest expense, but if you get the dual-coat paint, it helps. I also didn't paint the inside of the drawers. Not sure if that takes away anything, but meh. Then, with the top, I chose to paint it, rather than stain it. During the painting phase, I started second-guessing myself thinking I should have just stained it a deep color. But now I like that it matches the base. Maybe in the future I can hit up rockbridge for something more intricate that I can stain.

So yeah, flat file for around $20 (after the others I sold, people added some extra funds my way.) $80 into painting it. $100 not bad :)

What do you use for bags/boards for your stuff? I'm pretty sure I at least need to do this for a temporary situation and those look nicely maintained. Unfortunately getting bags/boards to fit 24x36 and larger is expensive, so I'd hate to get ones that are crap. Any recommendations you have, including from where, would be greatly appreciated!

I like how your poster storage room looks like it's surrounded by a bubble...do you don a haz-mat suit when entering?

Is that a new line of poster weights? I would think they would have a tendency to roll... Not to mention all the chub rub to worry about!
