Got a steal of a deal from an elderly lady on this huge oak flat file. Little beat up with labels on the drawers and what not but got it all cleaned up like new lined the drawers with black AF foamcore. Its fantastic to have one finally. The inside dimensions of the drawers are 31 x 43 so it can handle pretty much anything i throw at it though the drawers are very slim in comparison to the newer produced metal ones but i still had room to use two drawers for supplies and tools. The sides are beat up and the finish is pretty fugly but im going to line the sides with black formica like the top. Id go with the same burgundy as the top but i dont think ill be able to get an exact color match so the black seems like a better option.

Got this last weekend for $230, delivered. I'll admit it needed some work.

A weekend of sweat and some light refurbishing and this is it now.
(I left some of the tape and a lil bit of wear/distressing, wanted to keep the used feel.)

Here's my project I took on a month or so back.

Image

1st thing I did was create a movable base for it

Then sanded it down and bondo'd where needed

Then primed and painted
