Don't know if this has been observed previously, but just came across a Gil Elvgren pinup poster on eBay ...

Really ipath? There is no similarity at all besides there are two tigers. You are someone who should be called out. All of the crap you make is a direct ripp-off of Fairey's work you tool.

And Karl's work is quite good. He tries to keep the quality of the output high.

Thanks patman ... couldn't find that earlier thread. And the Banksy doesn't just look like the previous work, it is liberally borrowed from the previous work. Not sure what to make of it, but I do find it interesting that Banksy has stolen (maybe copied is a better term) an image from a 55-60 year old calendar pinup.

would love to know who did what first. i only stumbled across vladimir kush's print in a gallery last week. while the emek is hanging in my home, the kush one was about $7 100 more than the emek, so my thought of wow those would look cool together, quickly evaporated.

If only someone could fill in those numbers. Ironically enough it appears all has been forgiven since he seems to win almost every Obey contest these days.

I forgot about that shitstorm, thanks for the bump reminder

Ipath I would love to see you attempt to cut a stencil and execute any of those pieces as well as Karl has
