I've been collecting Shepard' work since the late 90s and own prints and fine art pieces from both Shepard and Ernesto, so the last thing I need is a history lesson.jordanonthereg wrote:Oh really? Why don't you have a look at the large format section on OG. First of all, who is "they?" If you are referring to Shepard and Ernesto, which you should be since it's an Ernesto print, then you are the one who needs to have a look... Shepard and Ernesto released a large format Day of the Dead print last year which was an edition of 75 for $400 each. This can not be compared to large format obey prints as far as the price or edition is concerned since it's not an obey print.
If both Shepard and Ernesto decided on a $500 price tag for these prints, which, as I mentioned, are Ernesto prints with an obey logo on it, then theyt would have sold for $500 regardless which site they were sold on. It's not that hard of a concept to understand.
