I remember thinking the same sitting on 30 '83 Fleer Ron Kittle rookie cards back in the day... true storykevkevkev wrote:it's kind of worring to think i sleep with $1000 of tyler stout posters under me.
Stout on the other hand has a real talent for a niche that will always be popular... His concepts/designs/execution are a tasty of blend of pop with just enough obscure eccentricities for all kinds of fans, while film nostalgia will always be popular. It was just a matter of time before his name & reputation got around, and the demo on the high end prints is 30+ so your looking at homes, "dog" houses, empty walls, solid careers, fun money and Tyler's skills... Kinda a perfect storm. From what I've heard, read and seen, it sounds like it's well deserved...

Well-deserved.
I did some further research, and looks like some sites like Poster Cabaret are increasing their prices as well. I wonder if it's because they are selling more or because they wanted to adjust their prices due to Stout's recent sales. Or both.

I wasn't around for the China poster, but I did the same thing with the Heroes of the Alamo poster. I finally got one about a year later for more than double the price. That one appealed to me more than his previous work (at the time).kevkevkev wrote:i regret not buy china when mondo had a few left and were asking $50 i think. took months for that to sell out. but i go with my instints. i didnt like the print that much.
