It is not the notion I have a problem with it is the authority. There is no standard to go by. There are things we can look at and say they makes sense, but it is not a fertle ground. I am not sure how we will reach it. The list that Phil posted would provide a much more compelling material for debate. Hopefully we will see.

Not that it isn't a great topic, but you really are being a one-trick pony... at least your argument is transparent. You consistantly root for certain behavior to be deemed illegal all the while supporting yout friends who have similarly unethical and/or questionable practices.

Of course, as Phil pointed out- it IS good that there is heated discussion on the subject, cause it shows that we care.

A bit late here I suppose for a comment---but, I really have to hand it [again], to Drowning Creek-----not only do they put out great art, but they think about the larger process, including the ethics as well.

I wanted to link some of these discussions with TRPS.org but really don't know how to. {I even tried gigposters.com but I guess my naturally 'ludditian' {?} nature couldn't even do it.

Initially I thought TRPS was going to be the sounding board---but I really think EB is the better choice now.

Well I guess you just gotta encourage those TRPSers to come over and join the fray here then -- best to get lots of voices and opinions on the subject. Discuss and then take it to the source!

Personally, I'm excited about this conversation. I think we're headed in the right direction and there is a lot of potential to reach critical mass on a number of subjects.

Piemel, thanks for sharing that article; and feel free to link more goodies as you find them

I hope this does not evolve into any kind of naming people even as examples. It would be more productive if it focuses on the future and not the past.

I, too, vote for "informative".

I have a slightly damaged pod racer that has a couple corners that are bent, and just yesterday i found the same numbered one on ebay. I contacted the person, and they said they got theirs at the show also. I also heard months ago alot of these got damaged somehow!

Does anyone have an explantion for this?

Might want to start a new thread for that question - think it warrants it's own thought and I'm sure it will/would get lost in this discussion (especially since it's pretty much calmed down for the past couple of weeks).

write to the seller and make certain that the correct # is listed in the auction. Sellers are sloppy and cut and paste all the time. Maybe he had a different poster with that # on it, and forgot to change the print # in the new auction when he "relisted a similar item"

and if it's the SAME? Start a thread so we can bitch about it.
