SHOW US YOUR ORIGINAL PAINTINGS, etc...."NICE" ART
Great Wittfooth! As far as I'm concerned, the more depressing, the better when it comes to Martin's paintings. Like you, A, I've been a bit MIA of late. But I did just pick up an original by Victor Castillo. Really like his art, and this piece fits my collection like a glove. It is titled As You Are, and was commissioned by Kimbra to accompany the release of her second album, The Golden Echo. The song Teen Heat was the inspiration for this piece. I'm not necessarily a fan of the music, but the art is terrific.

I checked out his latest show over the weekend. Great stuff!
Very nice! Would love to see pics of your varied collection someday.treweman wrote:Great Wittfooth! As far as I'm concerned, the more depressing, the better when it comes to Martin's paintings. I particularly liked Graphite 3 (see below), but it was already sold. The piece I bought is from 2014, and probably was still available because the image is not as disturbing or hard hitting as Victor's usual paintings.bulkhead72 wrote:I checked out his latest show over the weekend. Great stuff!

Yeah, that was one of my favorite images as well. If the timing was better (and I had more wall space), I would've pulled the trigger on this one. Snapped this photo at the show.treweman wrote:I particularly liked Graphite 3 (see below), but it was already sold.
