WTF is Crypto Art?
Here’s a gap in my understanding: if something like this can happen in broad daylight, where the theft, flip, and conversion of the flip’s eth proceeds into real money are all “visible” then why can’t the process be stopped midstream or, assuming it happened wicked fast, at least have the ape (or whateverTF) frozen after the fact? Just make it illegal to trade so it never winds up in legitimate hands again?

yikes... why the drymount would you sign anything with the wallet that contained your apes... i don't get it. feels like so many people that get scammed are just irresponsible with their assets.
this is exactly why everyone should manage their own wallets and all finance should be decentralized with 0 security nets.
whoop.

Sucks for the person who got ripped off too. If there’s a place to find out whether something’s been flagged as stolen then maybe check there before buying?

I feel like so many people get scammed because scammers are relentless and there’s not much recourse for the scammed. It’s a free unregulated lottery for thieves.papaver wrote: ↑Mon Dec 19, 2022 12:16 pmyikes... why the drymount would you sign anything with the wallet that contained your apes... i don't get it. feels like so many people that get scammed are just irresponsible with their assets.
