He seems like a total poseur. He's a talented painter, though I find the paintings (and most western painting in general) boring.

generally agree on Western painting, but his landscapes and cloud-scapes are just so damn good and capture that Maxfield Parish vibe so well. I could do without the cowboys probably, but they're also rendered so well it's hard to find any fault in them.

yeah, I regret not getting all three from the timed sale, but how many cowboy pieces can I hang in a mid-century ranch in suburban New England? I have the one pictured and the first print that the same gallery put out a year or two ago.
