What do people think about Jerkface's new release print prices? -and re-sale prices (Greatly appreciated)?

As a buyer he's over priced now and I probably will never buy another print.
As an early adopter (have Snoopy, Smurfs, Aladdin Genie) I hope the prices go higher

The art is straight up nostalgia ripoffs (like KAWS without the X's), the release prices are ridiculous (especially for giclees), and I wouldn't trust re-sale prices. Though there are some people with more money than art sense, they can't all like Wu Tang Care Bears and Mickey Mouse.Naveedmardi wrote:What do people think about Jerkface's new release print prices? -and re-sale prices (Greatly appreciated)?

he has a gallery backstopping his recent auction results and pushing prices. It does not feel like there is a deep pool of bonafide buyers, as there were when the same was happening with invader.

I believe this cause ever since he left Bottleneck his hype and prices seemed unrealistic.maddoghoek100 wrote:he has a gallery backstopping his recent auction results and pushing prices. I bought some of his stuff through Bottleneck and when it comes to the art, I don't mind it, like it has been said playing on nostalgia, I own and love the Iron Mike print, I am actually iso of a few of his earlier pieces also, but since he left Bottleneck, his output, as well as, prices have both been underwhelming and overpriced IMHO.

I wish he had kept his prices still rising a lot more slowly as they were when he was coming out of Bottleneck. But it has just been doubling with every release and some releases aren't even sent out in the emailing list. There is like a secret secret email list, or I might have just missed out. Such as the Pooh print and variant and TailToonKiller wrote:As a buyer he's over priced now and I probably will never buy another print.
