No OGs for me this year, but actually quite a lot more pickups than in the last years (still not even 20 new prints)...

First Ryan in a long while. Love it and will get it on the wall VERY soon.

If I had had the money and the wall space I would have bought the OG even before the show opened...

Been wanting one of these for years

Hands down my favorite print of the year:

2017 was a pretty solid year for me. Here's my top 5 in no particular order and I decided to limit myself to 1 item per artist.

Image

Although I snagged "I Have My Moments" at V1, getting this commission at MondoCon was my Ortiz pick-up of the year.

Image

This was one I never thought I'd get my hands on, and I traded for it too!

Image

Another one I thought I'd never be able to track down. Only a handful of older Tongs left at this point.

Image

I was able to get my hands on one of the elusive Tobin OGs that were put out this year. Been wanting something hand drawn from him for a while.

Image

A classic Edmiston and really tough to find. Don't know how I lucked into this one

Image

Honorable mention: this might not be something usually seen on this site, but this embroidery by Jessica So Ren Tang might be the most beautiful thing I own now

The black/white woman is by Swoon. The one above it is Conor Harrington.

Was fortunate enough to have obtained a few of what I consider my personal poster grail(s) this year. In large part to this community and a particularly virtuous member, just waiting on some mail in lieu of using stock foto (obv). I feel like the only EBer with no Jay Ryan. Must say amazing stuff in this tread so far.

As I look back at 2017, picking my Top 5 won't be too difficult because it was a very slow collecting year for me. I wasn't impressed with many new releases and have really been just hunting down select pieces to fill in some holes in my collection. I only picked up about a dozen prints this year. Here are my top picks:

Old Horkey gig print....Many thanks to a member here!

My favorite Jeff Wood print....Artist Edition from 2010:

One of Squirt's original Ladies:

I didn't want to buy Fall "just" for the flat file, but, man would I love to see those trees on the OG from up close...

That's a super tough call. I purchased Taro on the drop. The larger size won out (and I really like the yellow).

Then I saw Jiro in person at MondoCon and couldn't resist. The red is striking and I like the composition. It's probably my favorite poster of the year.
