I see not many John Wayne fans. Sad. John Ford and John Wayne created and shaped the western film genre (minus Zane Grey adaptations). But to each their own.

Did they not? (Early) westerns are a scarcity in the print market. Which pictures, directors, or actors would you suggest that were more impactful in the genre?

Yes very true, speaking more toward films than radio though. Another great contributor of course is Gene Autry, but would be hard up to get a movie print for one of his films.
