Lots of gems in this thread but somehow the fact that he specified picture frames brought me the most joy.

To the OP, there is a link to 32"x40" sheets of ragmat mat board for less than $20 each. Mat board (even the museum cottom rag) is not that expensive. Double mats for < $40.

I blame bots. Bought all the quality frames for cheap, now flipping them to #trufanz. I was right there when they were released, too! Spent all day waiting. Then, bam, sold out in 2 seconds. Just look at those eBay prices. I think Mondo's in on it, personally.

Wanda: I can't stand people, I hate them. Do you hate them?
Henry: No, but I seem to feel better when they're not around.

When are they going to address this??? I went to the site RIGHT AFTER THE TWEET and they were sold out of frames!!! Like, that's not humanly possible!! I know I'm not that slow. These frame drops get me so triggered, now I have to pay 4X the price to a frame flipper.

My 6 yr old son is in the emergency room with appendicitis and all he wanted to feel better was a frame. Scored on the print but all the frames sold out to effing flippers in like 5 seconds.

Nah, I'll just buy extras and sell them. I'm not going to spend my money on overpriced stuff out of principle, but the people who spend 10-20 times what I payed for the print can.

Chris217h wrote:Really why the hell are picture frames so expensive!?!?. Even some of the cheapest matting is more than I paid for the cost of the Mondo print that I could sell for over $600 now. Even for the cheapest materials it's $200+ to frame anything of decent size. It would probably be easier to buy a $700 60" 4K tv and just get high res images images of the prints and switch them out on there. I mean there's no way wood and glass should cost more than a tv, new game system, etc.. It's just drymounting crazy that people pay that much

What a wanker
