Ise Ananphada of Thailand
It's time this girl gets a thread, here's everything she's done so far. Her schedule is booked all year with some pretty incredible stuff. She is a breeze to work with and her talent speaks for itself. Super nice and humble girl, totally deserves every bit of exposure she's getting.
I cannot wait until this stuff finally gets printed so I can see the detail up close.

I hope she gets hired to do some official stuff. She deserves a shot at the big league level. Too much talent to be secluded in a hype-my-latest-commission thread.

Holy. Fudge.
She has a big following in Thailand, but this scene has only recently discovered her. She does a lot of commercial work but not anything like movie posters, so these are mostly dream projects for her that also happen to pay the bills. Personally don't see any reason for her to move to official prints and lose a cut of her pay to whoever's hiring her.tranito wrote:I hope she gets hired to do some official stuff. That works both ways. I think it someone like Mondo tapped her to make an officially licensed poster, it would skyrocket her career. It provides much more opportunity for exposure and recognition when it is done officially and through recognized outlets rather than smaller private commissions.

The art she did for the Thai Airways 2015 calendar is incredible! If they were individual prints each one would be on the wall in our house. You can check it out on Behance.Bikejoh wrote:She has a big following in Thailand, but this scene has only recently discovered her. I don't care where they come from, as long as she keeps getting paid and keeps making posters. I've got a line on her Amelie and that's gonna score me major booty points with the wife
Some of her planned releases this year already got me drooling.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. You can draw comparisons to other foreign Mondo artists like Kilian, who had an established career before working with Mondo, but I wouldn't have known about him if it weren't for Mondo. She does seem to be doing well and getting plenty of work.. so if Mondo did approach her, I'm not really sure how she would react.Kramerica wrote:That works both ways. With these commissions she can charge whatever she wants, and works totally on her own time and by her own design. Very little art direction, deadlines, company approvals, etc. Seems like a sweet gig to me

I was thinking about creating a thread about Ise myself . I agree though, super talented and really nice. I've talked to her a few times and told her it's really amazing to see a Thai artist in this scene. I'm half Thai myself, so we fudge chatted about that and our mutual love of video games haha. I'm really excited to see what she does with all the commissions she's been booked for. I have "The Fall" hanging in my living room right now, and have two more of her pieces in my bedroom.
When I saw The Fall print she did, I found out about some of her other work on Behance. Found a large format Thai Airways calendar she had work in and bought it on eBay. I trimmed the bottom of of them and decided to frame them. The one on the left I just put in a simple stock frame, but I decided to put the one on the right in something a little nicer. I'll probably do something like it for the other one sometime. The nice thing is these are actually a really nice size to come from a calendar, 16x20 inches.
Also, for anyone interested in following Ise's work, here are some links for you:

And, here's a link to a store that sells scarves with her work. They are pretty pricey (about 140 USD), but might make a good gift for someone, or if you want to frame them I guess? (They are 40x40 inches): http://www.vandavandastore.com/scarf/
Okay, I'm done now.

Those prints look great! I'm so ready to see her stuff in person. Yep, she is super into gaming, which makes her video game projects even more special..
And thanks, edited the original post to include the links to her social media, forgot to include them.
