Akiko Stehrenberger's Private Commission - LAST DAYS (2005)

This is a post dedicated to the one and only private commission currently organised with the amazing Akiko Stehrenberger. It is for the wonderful movie LAST DAYS by Gus Van Sant, and it is a passion project of Akiko and the reason she's interested in a commission. If you haven't seen the movie, please check it out (it's available on Youtube albeit in poor quality).

It's an amazing though unusual film about the last few days of Kurt Cobain (Van Sant took liberties of course) and this is a one-time opportunity for you guys to get on an Akiko Stehrenberger commission. She will not do anything else and she doesn't sell that many of her posters and when she does (according to her agent), they sell for between €500 and €1,000 and those are not screenprints.

This is your ONE CHANCE of getting an Akiko screen printed poster for a reasonable price, so please consider that.

Time frame will depend on her busy schedule and how quickly we manage to get enough members to make this financially viable - I am trying to aim at a $100 per print cost if possible.

Join and make it happen! Akiko is according to me a modern master and definitely one of the absolute top illustrators in today's game. To not make what really does sound like a one-time opportunity into reality would be a shame.

Love akikos work.. has she ever done a screenprint? Will she be doing the seps or will the printer.

She has never done any screenprints and has no idea how to prepare it so the trapping/color separation will be done by the printer. If you're interested, please feel free to join our group or PM me (here or on Facebook - Mathieu Donner) and I'll answer any other questions you might have.

This is an incredible opportunity to own a print from one of the hottest poster artists today. Akiko Stehrenberger's poster work is consistently listed in many "best of" alternative movie poster lists. Since I'm already a Nirvana fan, this commission: Akiko + Kurt Cobain...a no brainer, winning combination. Last days may not be everyone's cup of tea, but in the hands of Akiko, I'm excited to see what she comes up with. Don't pass up this rare opportunity to own an exclusive original screenprint from this top tier artist, or you'll be kicking yourself a few years from now for not joining up.
