EDIT: I'M WRONG
Yeah, you are right. I romanticized my memory of the old one.fartiste wrote:Really? I think the first one is hysterically bad, by comparison. Looks like a baby Myers. Stylized, yes. But very strange looking...EgoDeath wrote:Not a fan of that new Mike Myers, preferred the original.
I don't get why a mask would have heavy looking jowls like that on the new one. And I wish the entire set was their shine-shifting finish for $65.
I edited it out of my other post, they do great stuff but the push for "limited edition" and "collectors item" (sitting on 500 sets and another 500 individual pins) they have been pushing is polarizing me as a consumer. But that is the current trend of the pin market anyway, can't fault them for being a part of it. But some of this grumpiness comes from missing pins I've wanted.
So the box itself is what is limited edition? What?
pins get repressed frequently. your other myers is still special.
jkw3000 - Nobody ever really wins in this hobby.
Olly - I'm a hack asshole unable to provide you with what you want.
Gonzo's Mom- And some of you are the demons!

I don't have the other Myers, I'm not at all concerned about it being special. Just making a comment about the design.35mmpaul wrote:pins get repressed frequently. your other myers is still special.
And the other half of it was that I'm perplexed why the pin market is taking its cues from the print market trying to push limited editions and collectors item. These things are mostly made in China (who knows how many really exist) and by your own admission pins get repressed frequently. Limited edition just feels like a cheap marketing tactic with pins. I don't have a problem with the pins at all, but the marketing that is getting lame from these more reputable companies that are putting out the good stuff.
I digress.
