Where did you see the print, in the video on instragram it is hard to tell but looking a little dark, cemetery like, not the normal calligraphy style he does. Not a huge fan of his but some of his work is sick.

They're advertising these as "Lithographs on Stone" which (at least strictly literally) is different than a "handpulled stone Lithograph" - are they actually printing these on stone?

That's the image. One of them has a blue layer, but it's the same base image.

Now I am intrigued by this piece again after reading more about it..... wonder if trying to call out that rant of his recently.....

it is his brimstone character, Retna has been painting that image for over a decade. If i'm not mistaken there is an interview from ages ago where Retna describes himself as brimstone, almost like an alter ego he has when he drinks and such.

its the first time i believe its been a print. He's done alot of different brimstone originals over the years, varying in size. i believe this is the first time it will be an edition. the print is two different editions, 12 each, blackstone and bluestone, 43 x 31 inches, it'll be interesting to see what sort of demand there is for this print, considering it doesn't include any of his signature lettering. i have to figure it'll cost more then the previous editions he did with printthemall regardless of image content.

these are different versions of brimstone hes done over the years.

this one belongs to new image art, and is probably the best version of it that i've seen

The new pieces are trash. Dude should stick to his made up language/graffiti, beating chicks and huffing dust off.
