Nice. I went for that one as well, same issue with the state. Prob beat me by a few seconds. I don't think I could been much faster.

Really loved (almost) every moment working on these pieces, this is the first time I’ve felt confident enough with my colour pencil work to submit it to a gallery show... or at least I felt confident until about half way through and the The Fear struck! (Probably due in great part to the intimidatingly fantastic artists also showing at the exhibition, if you’re lucky enough to be able to attend the show next week you’re in for a real treat!) So I’ve been faffing and fiddling on with these pieces for days and I’m ever so grateful with everyone’s patience with delayed emails and shipping of purchases while I fully plumb the depths of my current nervous breakdown (Normal service resuming on Thursday ) #colourpencil #fabercastellpolychromos #kingfisher #bird #ornithology #art #drawing #originalart PS. Fish and water droplets are my new obsessions!

This piece will be in oil and have a couple of extra elements added that will add to this little couples story (thanks so much for the fab ring suggestion @welfare_snail, it’s just perfect for the composition and I’ll be shooting you a progress email of the painting in a day or two!) #bullfinch #snow #sketch #birdart #drawing #originalart

vanessafoley wrote:Feeling very springlike with this white echinacea study in colour pencil (I’ve listed all materials used in my first comment) This will be part of a larger composition that I’d already started before deciding to add this flower and when adding a tricky element (And this flower was a very tricky beastie!) to a piece I like to make a study first just to make sure I can make it work and to figure out the colours. So this is what my weekend will be looking like and I hope you all have just as lovely springtime plans #echinacea #flora #botanicalart #fabercastellpolychromos #flower #study #originalart

Also pictured is my state of the art solution to keeping my mucky mitts/pencil dust/tears of frustration off the paper. This show will be opening on lucky Friday 13th of April

Insanely talented.
