I gotta say to all the haters, that even though a lot of the art produced is undoubtedly from existing source material (often literally the same thing), it still takes a level of skill and time to create the separations - not to mention actually screen printing them yourself. I actually quite like the idea of having an iconic face/pose direct from the original source converted into a screen printed piece of art. However, personally I think the price point is a bit high considering the originality of the work, but I expect this is due to the relatively short print runs and cost of printing them on expensive stocks. Additionally, I find the methods used to create the separations quite messy/bitty, though this might come down to personal taste but I have live traced images in Illustrator and got cleaner results, and that definitely is not the way to do it! This is most evident on The Warriors poster - seriously, what is going on there?! But again, maybe this is intentional and all adds to the consistent gritty 'blunt' style of the art Matt produces. All I can say is keep it up and I really love your centrifuge series, now that is how to add some originality and truly make your prints unique collectors pieces!
