You're overthinking it; it's not a goddamn Rembrandt.

I just don't get the appeal, is it because there's a lot of colors?
What am I missing? Everything else is pretty standard Photoshop diffusion dither and "paint drops" here and there. Not just this one, but most of his recent work.

Do you even get the appeal of NEISBAW? I think it starts there.HenryGaleWasHere wrote:I just don't get the appeal, is it because there's a lot of colors?

Classic image, fan favorite, APOTY in 2010.. If you think that's just average as well, end of the story.. I'd be surprised this one could strike a different chord. If you really dig NEISBAW, then I'd love to discuss how that's a great follow-up to it..
It has nothing to do with being a fan of Eelus art in general or his recent stuff.. his work usually does nothing for me aside some rare exceptions.. Blow Up is a great image too imo.

Well, it was fresh at the time and had the Banksy angle working for it too. Long build up of hype/appreciation for it before the release too. Since then, it's been a lot of kids and rainbows, because that's what sells.tranito wrote:Do you even get the appeal of NEISBAW? Not this greeting card treacle:
I guess street art evolves or it just gets stale.

I was hoping there were more versions coming! I'm waiting for the lenticular or aluminum or bronze editions or maybe the foil.
