Would love to see one up close, but find them pricey too.
I guess the hand finishing justifies the price tag, but I can't even tell what is hand applied besides some gold dripping on the bottom part. The eyes are focal and would have been a nice hand painted part to do.

Even so, last year his hand-finished pieces were ~$325-375. Quite a bump when Mae released theirs.

Not by much. Here are the 5 releases prior:

Night Owl (2014): $275 / 35
Crouching Tiger (2014): $330 / 40
Prairie Fire (2015): $325 / 40
Life on Dusk (2015): $325 / 45
Sudan (2015): $380 / 45

Then at the start of 2016 with the Mae edition
Wisdom Eye (2016): $500 / 35

And now with SANS
Emerald (2016): $500 / 30

Quite the mark-up indeed. I believe he used to insta sell-out too. Now who knows how long he needs to find 30-35 takers.

All of his drops up until the bald eagle have been insta-sellouts. Pretty difficult drops actually. I have 3 of his prints and the hand finishing is pretty obvious. Looks rad.

The downside is both editions that SAN has sold did have some kind of damage across the run. I don't think anyone got a totally mint print.

you sure about that? take a real strong look @ your upper left corner (if it's not framed).

Damn bro, ease up; man cannot survive off bread and haterade alone. Phubar2, congrats; sounds like you were lucky; maybe you could share some pics with us. I don't think any of us have seen a mint copy and you might satisfy some of the doubters.

It's been framed for almost two years. When I took it into Furthur Frames I don't remember noticing anything wrong with it, but if there was you can't tell now.

That's all that really matters. Have you posted the FF frame-up? I'd love to see what they did with it
