The location is so random. Maybe he intentionally wants a view of St. Patrick's Cathedral? Or lots of tourist foot traffic?

He also would have gotten lots of exposure in the gallery district of Chelsea, where people who like art intentionally make their way to. Bit of a head scratcher location, if you ask me. But tourists will be plentiful, with 30 Rock and St. Patrick's right there.
