I buy posters, trim off about 1/4 inch on each side, and then sell them just to confuse people. I'm surprised you even noticed.

No offense, but if somebody is gonna fake a poster, I doubt they would waste their time on this print...its not exactly highly desired. I would dare to say its real, but you could always email Ames Bros and ask yourself.

I have spent 90% of my money on women and wine..........the rest i wasted.
I'd weigh the authenticity less by the exact size (although the size of the image would be a telling factor, but sometimes the overall size can vary due to movement on/with a paper cutter) and more by if it's a screened print if it's supposed to be. To take the time to make a screenprinted boot of a screened print wuold not be worth the effort in most cases unless you had the films to make the screens handy.
Tra la la la la...

you can tell by the smell and if you can feel raised ink.
but first you have to make sure that it is suppose to be a screen print in the first place

It should have a slight sour taste when you lick ithonyahman wrote:how do i know if its really screen printed?
Sorry, I had to say that. Seriously though, aside from the fact that you should never lick your posters, you will just know a screen print when you see one. I remember how impressed I was the first time I saw a silk screen poster in person. They have a certain texture that other prints and posters just don't have. They are typically not glossy and often have a boarder around the image. It is kind of hard to explain. There are all kinds of videos on youtube that will give you a better idea of what to look for. Once you know, you just know. Welcome to EB
