The Art of Tim Oliveira

General art-related discussion.

Postby GatorsCanes on Fri Aug 16, 2013 1:28 pm

It's about time Tim Oliveira got his own thread. Tim's art was one of the main reasons I joined EB. For anyone who has ever worked with Tim, you know he is such a cool guy and is always willing to go the extra step to make sure everyone is happy.

Well, now we can have a place to keep tabs on all things Oliveira!

Size: 24 x 30 inches, Limited Edition
Here's what Tim had to say:
In between screenprint runs I have decided to release very small editions of bold and bright colored pattern prints. So this is the first print of the "pattern series". Printed here in Pittsburgh, I worked closely with the master printer to get the colors that I wanted to achieve; in person the colors really pop and I am extremely happy with the result. I hope that you like them too and as always thank you for your support. Here is the print info:

This edition is limited to only 12 prints. Signed and numbered in pencil, date stamped on back, fine art archival giclee print. Printed with a Canon IPF8300 printer and high gamut 12 color Lucia pigmented inks. Heavy acid free 100% cotton rag paper, archival, cold press, 340 gsm weight. Ships in brand new Yazoo Mills shipping tube, wrapped in kraft paper with Archival Methods tissue on face of print. Shipping and handling cost is $15 to US and $30 to Europe, other locations please contact me. Thanks.

It was brought to my attnetion that this debuted on Inside the Rock Poster Frame Blog. I wasn't aware. ITRPFB says the print will go one sale today at 2pm Easter. Read about that here http://insidetherockposterframe.blogspo ... lease.html

I'm surprised to see this newly created thread... I guess I thought there has always been one.

Was super stoked to see the announcement for Changes about 10 minutes before it was supposed to drop. Would have loved to see this as a screen print instead of a giclee but Tim knows enough about screen printing and printing in general that I trust him to have made the right choice on this one. Can't wait to see it in person and looking forward to the rest of the series.

I kinda want the huge one.
And that's awesome about the reggae Tim! I've been lucky enough to share the stage with Burning Spear, the Wailers, Israel Vibration, Yellowman, and a handful more. Shoot me a pm and I'll send you some music!
Just now realizing Gator isn't Tim. 8)

I like the colors on these, they seem a little more funky and retro. I have Tim's Love us Grand embellished print and it's awesome. Interested to see what he does for this one.
