sorry eb was slow and couldn't respond while doing that.
Yea it can only really be lotteries for prints. It was just a battle of bots. Refunded practically every single print order so all of it is back in play for the lottery.
I've never seen anything like that. Shopify disabled the add button.

Joe do you recall anything like this for Civilisation 2?
in 12 years of doing this, i've never seen shopify just say drymount it and stop the add to cart button. Usually shopify can handle traffic or at least now put ppl in a queue.
It was weird too because I just thought sales slowly stopped for the book but the traffic on the site was insane. Didn't realize about the button

Thanks for the update. I'm assuming all book orders are good?
Still hoping for the print via lottery, but not expecting it! Good luck everyone.

Just to clarify. When will notices go out to lottery winners? Given that winners only have 15 minutes to respond after being contacted, I’m reluctant to go outside and work on my farm (no cell service when out of WiFi range).

yea book orders should be good. I saw some flagged orders ill take care of after the print.
The big thing too was that because the UK book didn't appear, UK buyers bought the domestic. Had a bunch of emails about the difference but like 85% didn't email so im just manually doing that now. If you get a partial refund and you're from the UK its that
