I understand the simple framing argument. It's hard to go wrong with that option. However, if this piece were in a gallery setting or even in a home with other pieces nearby I wouldn't necessarily be drawn to it based on image alone. Especially from a distance. A more elaborate framing, tastefully done, would probably pull me in to take a closer look.
Wanda: I can't stand people. I hate them. Do you hate them?
Henry: No, but I seem to feel better when they're not around.

They keep getting better & better!
Mini copper engraving. 3.5cm by 7cm. Printed on Fabriano tinted paper. Feeling like I'm making really good progress lately slowing down my eagerness to start a piece. More time spent on planning light contrasts, line variations and composition. Slowly breaking imbedded bad habits. #copperplateengraving #phlegm #printmakingstudio #intaglio #burin #miniprint

That street piece is so, so good. As is Tributary. Phlegm has my attention now.

I saw a few posts from way before where he said he will post a pic later; even wanted to post the wearewaiting.gif, but did not drink enough beer to actually do so.

Back in the day before I knew better, I used to do the gaudy as fug fudge, but now it's all black frames and white mats or floated on white.

Luls. First show the posts where I said I would post a framed pic and didn't.

It was a couple of gig prints from pre 2010, if I remember correctly. The unfulfilled promises were made in art comments section. Obviously, I can’t remember what prints those were. I think the last thread I saw it in was bumped just this past summer. Weird that I don’t remember any of them though; usually I am pretty good with remembering weird irrelevant stuff like that.

P.S. I think I only posted a couple of graphite drawings from the framed stuff. Tried to find them now but can’t even remember which threads I posted them in.
