Damn The Design: The Art of Randy Ortiz Thread
Really surprised there's no thread dedicated to Randy yet.
If you're asking yourself who Randy Ortiz is, you should be ashamed of yourself. Let's see if these ring a bell?
I've been following his work since seeing his Lord Necronomicon piece (see above) at the Mondo Gallery opening. His attention to detail is ridiculous. If you follow him on Twitter or Facebook, then you know that he posts progress shots from time to time. The thing about these progress shots is that each time one is posted, it's insane to see that the imagery continues to build and build. Just when you think "What else could he add?" he throws something like this in your face:

The 'silver metallic/red' combo reminds me of the Ansin 'Scott Pilgrim'.
That new silver metallic/GID poster looks sick!

His Goonies Print, which is hanging framed above my desk as I type this, is what got me into this whole hobby.
I also own his Life Aquatic. I always thought it was a screen print! Is it not? I'm such a noob :-/
I also own this of his and it's beautiful:

Grabbed the GID version. He's been doing some incredible work lately.
