Been a while since I posted on this thread.

One of my favorites.
^ nice, i had one of these and gave it away in an attempt at kindness. quite foolish of me looking back not only because of the money but because that is the first PH stout and the show was historic in terms of storms and long set breaks and wondering if i will be killed by the elements. Good score SWScott.

Whoa man! Congratulations!!! Those are choice. Is the second one a print only or keyline with watercolor?

The second is a hand colored etching by Helen Frank. She is 93, does her own printing, and is still going strong. The MET just acquired nine of her pieces for their permanent collection. I have four of them - Art Lovers, The Dugout, The Boost, and A Kiss on the Beach. I don’t connect with all of her images, but when I do, they are wonderful. I might add that her hand coloring is not at all uniform across prints. Two of the same image can appear very different.

After seeing it in my wanted for 10 years, I finally managed to get my grail. Happy to report it lived up to the hype.
