wonder what kind of paper it is printed on. This would look cool in a light box if the paper is transparent enough.halftonegraphics wrote:Sylvia Ji

their prints are normally on a nice thick Arches paper, iirc.

Yeah, I figured. Might have been cool on some clear lenticular like the Emek QOTSA Seattle print.halftonegraphics wrote:their prints are normally on a nice thick Arches paper, iirc.

Definitely just a poor choice of words/knowledge of framing. It's not adhered to the backing at all, it's held in by the mounting strips.ToolFanFromWayBack wrote:when you say dry mounted, are you saying that it has been mounted to the backer board with adhesive? I might be interested, but dry mounting is a no go for me...michdmb wrote:My wife and I are reluctantly going to list her Buried Alive print as we have nowhere in our new home that it fits the decor. She has owned it since 2009 (bought from Corey Helford gallery). It has been framed since then until this week when we had it taken out and replaced with another print. It is currently stored dry mounted as in the photos. It's in great condition. Wanted to post it here for offers if anyone is still reading this thread before we post it up on eBay. Gallery link below. PM me if questions or if any interest.

Love Ji’s Work, but these AP sales of her older work starts to get the cash grab stink on them.

Yeah she's making money but I wouldn't call it a cash grab. 827 has been offering these up for a lot less than they typically sell for on ebay. There are plenty of great and respectable artists--Danger, Keyes, and Horkey to name a couple--that have offered up AP copies of prints/posters at way over initial sale price to reflect something closer to current market value.
3-4 years, Damn, I was looking for that thing since it has been released. Oh well, got enough paper and ink. 250 was a nice price though!!!mtarail wrote:I picked up a copy of La Catrina. I was beyond happy to get it. Been looking for that print with no luck for the past 3-4 years.
