When creating pop culture portraits, I always try for the ideal pose for each piece, by shooting my own body reference, rather than only relying of the photos available to the public. This ensures your art is unique, has the most impact, and it will appear fresh. To achieve the best likenesses of your subject, you need to stick fairly close to the source photos, so your body reference photos (like the ones shown here of my dad) need to match the original character face shots' lighting and camera angles.

Holy crap, I decided to go to Jason's site to see what's new and saw he made a Teen Wolf screenprint. I had to snatch it up, looks nice! Love that movie.
